I — and I am sure every other Mercer Island resident who drives on I-90 — am exposed to “government waste” every day. All of us in stop-and-go traffic, sometimes going 5 miles an hour, see in front of us wonderful, and I am sure, expensive signs saying we should be going 40 or 50 in our respective lanes.

I wonder whose idea this was and who in the Department of Transportation got the kickback for buying it and installing them?
