Letter | Glad to see attention on schools proposal

March 22, 2012 · 9:13 AM

Thanks to everyone for calling to our attention all the issues surrounding the proposed Mercer Island School Bond initiative. The information presented raises a multitude of questions. It reveals the complexity of the situation, that there are definite problems. As much as we support our students and schools, tearing down all the schools is not the way to do it; it’s wasteful.

This is not a vote against the schools; it’s a vote against the initiative. Considering what’s at stake, we should all be as educated as possible. Please visit www.no-mi-school-tear-down.com before submitting your ballot. Then vote “no.”
