Senior citizens capable contributors

I really disagree with Mercer Island opting out senior citizen false alarm penalties being for those individuals over the age of 62. I am presently 80 plus and living at Covenant Shores with many other seniors. One of my ongoing frustrations is that Covenant Shores and like minded institutions think that being a senior citizen, that person has no capabilities in our modern digital world. A generation before me might be considered as needing special help but certainly no one born prior to WW2 or even 1940 should be given any special privileges unless they are officially recognized as handicapped with limited skills. It is time we get everyone recognized as individuals responsible for their own actions, non-actions or whatever the case might be.
