The City of Mercer Island Design commission will meet at 7 p.m., tonight, June 11, at the City Council Chambers at City Hall.

The first agenda item will concern the proposed Mercer Island Elementary School No. 4 at 4030 86th Ave. S.E. This second session is to request design review feedback on the new elementary school.

The second agenda item is development of Islander Middle School at 8225 S.E. 72nd St.

A study session will review feedback from the Design Commission regarding the Islander Middle School replacement project that consists of the demolition of building(s) and construction of a new 78,000 sq. ft. one and two story school building.

Note: There are significant differences between the current design and the design presented at the February 26, 2014 study session for the same site.
