Recently, Island Books hosted an “Island Book Night” with 20 percent of the proceeds for the day going to the Mercer Island High School PTSA. In addition, anonymous parents purchased books for our library.

The Island is lucky to have two great organizations working to encourage reading and learning.

Thanks to Roger and Nancy Page at Island Books, a fabulous independent bookseller, and to the MIHS PTSA, especially Jill Seidel, who organized the evening festivities for supporting the school in so many ways.
