Recycle center to close?

Recently, I heard the Island’s recycle center may close soon, due to the low prices for recyclables and the lack of income for MIHS. As a “green” community, I encourage residents to consider how we might prevent the loss of this facility. I visit the center daily to feed Tasha and Princess, the center’s 13-year-old resident cats who control the rodent population. It is always busy, and recycle prices change with the market. Have the people in charge of the Recycle Center considered the long-term, and can Islanders assist in saving the center?
