Thank you, Mercer Island! Thank you, Farmers Insurance! Thank you, Hunter’s Christmas Trees and Allied Waste! And thank you to all you wonderful volunteers!

Because of the generosity of our Island residents, the MI Lions Club had another great year raising funds for local causes at the Christmas tree sale. When you purchase a tree or volunteer at the lot, your dollars and labor go directly to support our community — you support local organizations and programs like the Boys & Girls Club, Youth and Family Services, Meals on Wheels, the Large Print Library at the Community Center, awards to outstanding Mercer Island teachers and students, local scouting and school programs and many more. You also help the Lions’ regional work in support of programs such as the NW Sight & Hearing Foundation, Lighthouse for the Blind and Camp Leo for kids with diabetes.

As always, we owe a special thanks to Farmers Insurance, which allows us to turn part of their property into a festive, bustling tree lot. We simply couldn’t continue our annual success without Farmers’ generosity.

Each year, we Lions feel so honored by the support you all give to us. The Lions Club exists to serve our community, and we appreciate so much how each of you helps us do so. Thank you!

Sam Bull

President, MI Lions Club
