To benefactors of Farmers Market

The Mercer Island Farmers Market Board of Directors would like to thank everyone who contributed to the resounding success of our first fundraising dinner and silent auction, held at Lilly’s Restaurant at Aljoya. Many, many thanks to Aljoya, Lilly’s Restaurant and the welcoming staff for hosting 100 guests for a very enjoyable evening. The dinner, prepared by Lilly’s chef, Nathan Zielske, was delicious and included items donated by the market’s farmers and vendors. We also appreciate the donors of the wonderful silent auction items. Thank you to everyone who was involved with the event and showed their support for the market. The evening was a great way to kick off the MIFM’s upcoming season.

Our third Farmers Market season began on Sunday, June 20, with many returning farmers and vendors and some exciting new ones as well.

We hope that you will visit the market often and become a weekly shopper during our 17-week season. Music, children’s activities and special events are a few of the fun things to enjoy each market Sunday. This year, a market on the Sunday before Thanksgiving will give customers the opportunity to buy local for Thanksgiving. Another exciting addition this season will be four chef demonstrations. Please see www.mifarmersmarket.org for more details.

Thank you to our community for embracing the Mercer Island Farmers Market. With your ongoing support, farmers and vendors will continue to offer fresh, local, seasonal, nutritious and delicious farm-fresh products. Shopping at the MIFM is a meaningful way to help preserve valuable local farmland. Friends meet at the market.
