Mercer Island girls in fifth through eighth grades will now be able to play fall lacrosse, thanks to the new MI girls Fall Ball program. The league, which begins games Friday afternoons in October, is registering now.
All games will be played at Islander Middle School from October through November. All playing experiences are encouraged, as new players will get the chance to learn the game before the spring season and experienced players can perfect their skills. The first game will be devoted to drills, while the second half is for scrimmages.
Games will be held every Friday from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. through October and from 3:45 to 5 p.m. in November.
The program is $100, plus a $25 U.S. Lacrosse membership fee. Contact Kara Brodman at karabrodman@gmail.com or Ellen Marks at Mr2ell@aol.com. with questions and visit www.migirlslacrosse.com for more information.
