The Mercer Island girls fell to Mount Si 61-49 in the KingCo semifinal playoffs on Tuesday afternoon. The Islanders will now play for third or fourth place on Thursday, Feb. 10, but have still earned a spot at the SeaKing district tournament.

Mount Si controlled the game early on, but Mercer Island surged in the second half, hoping to secure a comeback win.

Thursday's match at 4:45 p.m. at Bellevue College will be against the loser of tonight's match up between Liberty vs. Juanita.
