Northwest Yeshiva girls fall in district semifinals | Girls prep basketball

After finishing the regular season undefeated, the Northwest Yeshiva girls basketball team entered the tri-district tournament and have advanced to the consolation semifinals, before losing 40-36 to Mount Rainier Lutheran to end the season.
The team finished the Sea-Tac 1B regular season with a 12-0 league and 16-7 record overall.
The 613s needed to beat Mt. Rainier Lutheran for a shot at the final state berth in the 1B girls tournament.
Earlier in districts, the team beat Quilcene 52-29 to advance to the second round, where they faced Neah Bay. Northwest Yeshiva couldn't get past Neah Bay's offense, with the final score of 64-57.
The team ended the regular season as Tri-District champions, after going undefeated. Head coach Dr. Jed Davis was named the Coach of the Year for the Sea-Tac 1B division. Julia Owen, Milana Davydov and Illana Greenberg were all named to the first team, as voted on by coaches in the league.
