Islander youth wins baseball championship | Youth sports

Max Samson, a fourth-grader at Lakeridge Elementary School, is a member of the 10U Stods Select Raptors baseball team, which consists of players from around the Puget Sound. On June 12 the Raptors earned the Baseball Players Association District Championships to qualify for the BPA World Series in Warsaw, Ind., this summer.
Over Memorial Day weekend, the team also won the Triple Crown Sports Regional Championships in Bothell. The win qualified the team for the Triple Crown World Series in Park City, Utah, in July. The Raptors will take on teams from around the United States in the Triple Crown National Championship.
