The Eastside FC 94 Red team recently won the regional title during a tournament in Federal Way.

The team, which includes Mercer Islanders Jordan Morris and Sam Miller, was undefeated in the tournament. Over three preliminary games, Eastside FC scored 14 unanswered goals and won the quarterfinal game against a team from Utah 1-0. They  earned a semi final win over Cal-South’s Albion White with a 2-1 final score. The California team finished second in the nation last year.

With the wins, Eastside FC prepared for the championship game against defending champs Mt. Hamilton PA Tigers of Cal-North, the team which had eliminated Eastside FC the year before.

Morris scored the opening goal off a free kick 22 minutes in, while teammate Maxwell Harvey scored in the 47th minute of the game for the 2-0 win. It was the team’s first Farwest Regional crown.
