The Stods Raptors, the team Samson is on, recently won the Triple Crown World Series, held in Utah.
The event, played at the end of July, features top select teams from around the country. The Raptors are a select team of players from across Puget Sound.
The team had a 6-2 record during the tournament. The Raptors earned a spot in the 10U D2 championship game, where the team beat Salt Lake City Blast, 11-6, for the title.
