Lacrosse Magazine, owned and published by US Lacrosse, recently released its wrap-up of the 2011 season. The Mercer Island High School boys lacrosse team was named the 24th team in the nation.

The Islanders won the state championship this spring, beating Bainbridge Island for the title. It was the Islanders’ first title since 2006, and the 10th time in 11 years they played for the title.
