Four Mercer Islanders recently competed in the Lake Sammamish Splash Kid’s Triathlon.

Tripp White and Alex Patel competed in the 8-10 division and took fourth and second place for boys. Mira Patel raced in the age 5-7 group and was the first girl to finish.

Mason Bull also raced in the 8-10 boys bracket, taking 17th overall.

The race took place at Sunset Beach in Lake Sammamish State Park. Patel and White swam 75 yards, biked 1.5 miles and then ran half a mile, while the younger group swam 50 yards, biked .36 of a mile and ran 200 yards.
