MIHS freshman earns USA Baseball tryout spot | Sports brief

A Mercer Island High School freshman, Williams Mansfield, earned a spot to tryout for the USA Baseball 16U national team this fall. Mansfield qualified for the tryout with along with members of the Baseball Northwest team he was recently chosen to be apart of. The National team tryouts will be held in North Carolina beginning Sept. 8. Players were selected from six Northwest states.

The national team tryouts include over 300 of the top 15U players from around the country, completing for 18 spots.
