The Pre-Thanksgiving Throw down for the Mercer Island CrossFit was a big success last weekend.

According to coach Corey McGee the gym had 45 people, from four different CrossFit gyms come for the workout. Each person was asked to bring at least one bag of food to be donated to the Mercer Island Food Pantry. In total, the group collected 58 bags of food.

Of course those who showed also came to work out, and in teams of two they threw wall balls, bear crawled and carried their partners for 30 minutes during the workout.

"I guess working hard now will pay off on Thursday," one of participants said.

McGee said a big thanks to the Mercer Island CrossFit members, their families and Scott and the StoneWay CrossFit crew who attended the event, as well as the Stroum JCC where the Mercer Island CrossFit gym is located.
