Bellevue takes down Mercer Island | Girls prep basketball results

The Bellevue girls basketball earned a win on Friday night in their own gym over Mercer Island. The Wolverines won 46-28.
Bellevue got off to a quick start, ending the first quarter with a 13-9 score. The team earned another seven in the second, while holding the Islanders to five points. Bellevue's offense had a solid third quarter, scoring 19 points to the Islander seven in the third. Each team posted seven points in the fourth quarter to end the game.
Kris Brackmann had the team's high for Mercer Island with eight points, while Julia Blumenstein had six points. Lauren Ellis and Renae Tessem had three points, while Carly Andersen, Marlo Cafarelli, Jamie Mounger and Savanna Reid each had two points.
The Islanders will face Redmond on Monday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
