The Northwest Yeshiva girls basketball team traveled to Spokane on Wednesday for the team's first game of the 1B girls state tournament at Spokane Arena.

The 613s will play Columbia (Hunters) at 7 p.m. For fans who couldn't travel to the tournament, the WIAA is broadcasting games online.

"The best part of this state tournament appearance just may be that we will participate with the full rights and opportunity of any other school," said the 613s head coach Jed Davis in a press release. "Our girls are like all girls who play on state championship caliber level teams - dedicated, passionate about basketball and always among the school's best academically. They deserve the same respect and opportunity."

The winner of Thursday's quarterfinal game will move on to Friday's semifinals, while the loser will play in Friday's consolation round.
