Mercer Island opens with win | Prep boys soccer results

The Mercer Island boys soccer team opened the season with a non-conference win Tuesday night, beating Kennedy Catholic 2-0.

Islander Alex Wood scored an unassisted goal at the 37 minute mark, and the team added another point to win the game. Goalie Sam Miller was credited with the shut out.

The team will travel to face Skyline on Friday, March 16 for a 7:30 p.m. non-conference game, before hosting Lake Washington Tuesday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the first KingCo game of the season.
