The Mercer Island sixth grade boys select basketball team, which plays in the Eastside Travel League, set a new record this season. The team was undefeated during the season, through the playoffs and the Wesco tournament.

The boys won 15 league games, earning the No. 1 seed going into the ETL playoffs, where the team won, beating Woodinville, Puyallup and Juanita.

After winning the championship, the team earned the No. 1 seed for the sixth grade gold division going into the Wesco ETL tournament. The team won their next four games, finishing the season with a 22-0 record.

The team will continue play in late March in a Eugene, Oregon prep basketball tournament.  The team will be coached by MIHS head coach Gavin Cree and David Loutsis, along with John Shaddle

The team includes: Nathan Hillard, Hunter Bauman, Alex Platou, Matt Boissoneault, Greg Fuchs,Will Hamilton, Reid Martinez, Justin Ho, Giovanni Rocha, Griffin Emanuels, Parker Simpson and Ethan Eason. The team is coached by David Loutsis and John Shaddle.
