Islander girls earn win over defending state champs | Prep lacrosse results

The Mercer Island girls varsity lacrosse team earned a big win Wednesday night. The Islanders beat Bellevue East 18-17. Bellevue East is the defending Division II state champions.
Tyler Sherper had seven goals during the game, while Dulce Moll added four, with an assist and a ground ball. Elena Skouras had three goals, with Madison Blackburn adding two goals and three ground balls. Saffron Snethen had one goal, as did Tayler Dahlgren. Goalie Erika Eagan had four save, while Andrea Hatuskami added three saves.
The Islanders will host Bainbridge on Monday, March 19 with an 8 p.m. start time. They then travel to play Lake Sammamish on Tuesday, March 27 at Marymoor Field No. 9 at 6 p.m.
