The Mercer Island girls lacrosse team almost had another win this season during Monday night's game against Bainbridge Island, but a last minute goal tied the game for the teams. The final score was 15-15 after Bainbridge's Theo Fehsenfeld scored with 19 seconds left in the match.

The teams were tied 7-7 going into the second half, and Mercer Island started to pull away from the defending state champions, earning a 15-10 lead with less than 10 minutes on the clock.

The Spartans quickly added five goals to the board to earn the tie.

Mercer Island's Tyler Sherper had four goals in the game, while Dulce Moll added four of her own. Elena Skouras had four goals with two assists and Madison Blackburn posted two goals, while goalie Erika Eagan earned 10 saves.

The Islanders, now 2-0-1 this season, will take on Lake Sammmaish Tuesday, March 27 at Marymoor Park at 6 p.m.
