Traveling to Interlake High School for a wet and windy game on Wednesday afternoon, the Mercer Island fastpitch team lost 8-0.

The Saints started the game out hot, scoring six runs in the bottom of the first inning, followed by two in the second. The game remained scoreless until it ended after seven innings. The Islanders had four hits, with no runs and three errors, while Interlake had 14 hits with eight runs and three errors.

The Islanders will host Mount Si on Monday, April 2 in a KingCo game starting at 4:#0 p.m. at the South Mercer Playfields, before playing Sammamish on April 3.
