Mount Si beats Mercer Island | Prep baseball results

The Mercer Island baseball team played a close game against the defending 3A state champions Mount Si on Wednesday afternoon, losing 1-0.
The two teams were scoreless through four innings at Mount Si High School, before the Wildcats rounded the bases in the bottom of the fifth to take the 1-0 lead. It remained the only run of the game for the teams, despite Mount Si getting three hits and the Islanders getting one.
Mercer Island will take on Lake Washington at home on Friday, April 6 in a 7 p.m. match at Island Crest Park. Mount Si will travel to face Juanita at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
The Islanders are 0-2 in KingCo matches this season and 3-4 overall, while the Wildcats are 2-0 and 6-1.
