Mercer Island draws with Liberty | Boys prep soccer

In the final game of Mercer Island’s spring break, the boys soccer team tied with Liberty, ending regulation with a 1-1 score.

The game was tight throughout the first half, until Liberty’s Nick Turner scored, assisted by Zach Lentini in the 40th minute.

The Islanders remained scoreless throughout much of the second half, when in the 80th minute, Jeremy Chow scored off an assist by Jake Michael to tie the game.

The Islanders will play at Mount Si on Tuesday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. before taking on Lake Washington on Friday night at the Kangs home stadium at 7:30 p.m.
