Mercer Island falls to Juanita | Prep fastpitch results

After losing to a tough Bellevue team on Monday, the Mercer Island fastpitch team traveled to play defending 3A state champions Juanita on Tuesday. The Islanders lost 11-0.

Juanita was up 4-0 after the first inning, but the Islanders held off the top team for two straight scoreless inning, until the Rebels picked up two in the bottom of the fourth. Juanita added five more runs in the fifth to end the game.

The Rebels had 11 runs on 12 hits and no errors, while the Islanders had no hits and five errors during the game.

The Islanders will host Mount Si on Thursday, April 12 in a 4:30 p.m. game at the South Mercer Playfields.
