Liberty blows past Mercer Island | Prep fastpitch results

The Liberty fastpitch team scored in every inning of the Patriot’s KingCo match with Mercer Island on Tuesday afternoon. The final score was 18-4 for Liberty.

The Patriots opened the game with a one run lead going into the second inning, where the team added four more runs, followed by two in the third. In the fourth inning the Islanders made their first points, running home three players. The Patriots racked up 11 runs in the bottom of the fourth to hold the lead, followed by another run for the Islanders in the fifth.

Liberty had 18 runs on 13 hits and three errors, while Mercer Island had four runs on three hits and five errors.

The Islanders will travel to Grass Lawn Park in Redmond on Thursday to play Lake Washington at 3:45 p.m.
