Mercer Island beats Lakeside | Prep boys lacrosse

The Mercer Island boys earned a solid win over Lakeside on Saturday, winning 12-4.

The Islanders were up 5-0 at the end of the first, but Lakeside held off the Islanders in the second quarter, allowing no new goals.

Lakeside closed the gap to 7-4 in the third quarter, but Mercer Island added five more unanswered goals in the final minutes of the game.

Connor Bernal had three goals and eight ground balls during the game, while Grant Preisler added three goals and Alex Robbs had two.

The Islanders will travel to play Eastlake on Tuesday, April 24 in an 8 p.m. game.
