Mercer Island falls to Lindbergh | Prep fastpitch results

Mercer Island fell to Lindbergh in a non-conference fastpitch game on Monday afternoon, losing 10-7.

The Islanders had an early 3-2 lead at the end of the first inning. Lindbergh added a run to tie the game in the top of the second, followed by two runs for Mercer Island in the bottom of the third to again take the lead. Neither team added to the score in the fourth inning, and Mercer Island added another run in the bottom of the fifth to hold a 6-3 lead. Lindbergh scored once in the top of the sixth, but added six more runs in the seventh to steal the win.

Mercer Island had seven runs on five hits and two errors, while Lindbergh had 10 runs on 15 hits and one error.

The Islanders will host Interlake on Tuesday in a 4:30 p.m. game before traveling to Mount Si on Thursday for another 4:30 p.m. KingCo match.
