Mercer Island wins KingCo title over Bellevue | Prep girls tennis

In the final match of the regular season last Friday, the Mercer Island girls tennis team won the KingCo title over Bellevue. The Islanders also beat the Wolverines 7-0 on the court.
In the singles competition, Nora Tan beat London Lee 6-3, 6-2, Lydia Venditti beat Karen Park 6-1, 6-1, Caroline Dillon beat Cory Change 6-1, 6-1 and Julia Glick beat Crystal Chon 4-6, 6-0, 6-3.
In the doubles competition Sohpia Gage and Gabby Venditti beat Meagan Moran and MacKenzie Urquhart 6-0, 6-0, while Ashley Larson and Erin Crandall beat Maeve Bell and Ellen Pong 4-6, 6-1, 6-0. Kajal Tiwary and Melanie Lee beat Maddie Glouner and Danielle Bear 6-1, 6-0.
The Islanders will begin the post season this week with the KingCo tournament, followed by districts next week.
