Mercer Island to face Bellarmine Prep Friday | Prep boys lacrosse

The Mercer Island boys lacrosse team will face Bellarmine Prep Friday night in their first game of the state tournament.
Bellarmine, which finished No. 5 in the Southwest Conference, has a 5-9 record this season.
The Lions won their first round game over Mukilteo 16-13 to advance to the quarterfinals against Mercer Island. The Islanders earned a first round bye after finishing on top of the Southwest Conference.
The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday, May 18 at Mercer Island High School.
The winner of Friday's match will move forward to the state semifinals on Friday, May 23.
