Team Mercer Island recently won the PEAK spring league seventh grade Gold Basketball championship, held May 12-13.

Team Mercer Island recently won the PEAK spring league seventh grade Gold Basketball championship, held May 12-13.

The team surged from an early deficit during the title game against Pro Club Sonics to win 45-43. The Mercer Island team finished the season with an 8-1 record.

The team includes: Joshua Swanson, Daniko Clark, Mitch Mandt, Jordano Mark, Matt Padgett, Spencer Fuhr, Brendan Johnson, Sami El-Rafey and Dominic Postle. The team is coached by Charles Padgett and Joe Phillips.
