Five Islanders make girls All-State lacrosse teams

Five members of the Mercer Island girls lacrosse team were named to the 2012 All-State team this spring.

Megan Jemley was honored for the third time this spring, while teammate Tyler Sherper, Elena Skouras and Madison Blackburn earned second time honors. Saffron Snethen was also named to the All-State team.

Six members of the team were named to the All-Conference team, for the Alki Conference. They include: Sherper, a junior, Skouras, a senior, Blackburn,Snethen, Clara Felker and Jemley.

The team will play in the third/fourth place game against Lakeside on Saturday, May 19 at 11 a.m. at Eastside Catholic High School.
