The MIFC Fierce soccer team won the Skagit Firecracker in early July.

The MIFC Fierce, a girls U13 soccer team, won the Skagit Firecracker tournament in Burlington.

Despite rain and cold weather the team had three straight shutouts in the tournament, and scoring nine goals.

In the championship game, the Fierce faced off against Tynecastle FC, winning 4-0.

The team includes: Maeve Atkins, Ava Blanchette, Ellie Daugherty, Tess Hendelman, Eliza Jacobson, Ali Kimball, Isabelle Knowles, Fiona McCann, Macy Mounger, Sophie Poole, Isabelle Petersson, Kendall Riley, Elakshi Shah, Rachel Silke, Jessie Stenberg and Kendra Watson.

The team is coached by Andrea Anderson, who is assisted by Erin Anderson and Nick Blanchette.
