Matt LeProwse, a Mercer Island resident who plays soccer with Eastside FC helped his team qualify for the national competition.

LeProwse plays on the Eastside FC U14 Red team, will play in the U.S. Club National Cup finals in Chicago at the end of July. The team won the Northwest Regionals at the end of June to qualify.

The Red team qualified for the Nationals event winning during the regional tournament in Redmond. The Red team was the only unbeaten squad going into the Super Group, and scored the game winning goal over Snohomish United in overtime.
