The Mercer Island select U14 Whitecaps won the Kent Cornucopia Tournament in July.

The Mercer Island boys select U14 soccer team, known as the Whitecaps, won the Kent Cornucopia Tournament in mid-July. The team finished the tournament with a 5-0 record, beating Kent United in the championship 3-1.

The team includes:  Finn Childress, Ben Dixon, Darwin Morris, Kyle Stolzman, Eric Dreyer, Andrew Arvish, Matthew Chansky, Renato Cardenas, Kenny Koning, Luke Boksem, Frank Arterberry, David Sims, Will Dodds, Roberto White, Jackson Kelley, Erik Raisys, Will Bassett, and Jack Delay.

The team is coached by Tom Koning.

“The boys played very well.  We are looking forward to an exciting season," said Koning.
