Mercer Islander wins SeaFair triathlon

Mercer Island triathlete Eddie Switaj, 28, was the men's first place finisher during the 12th annual SeaFair Triathlon on Sunday, July 22 at Seward Park.

Switaj won the race in 1:47.03, over a minute ahead of second place finisher, Seattle resident Aaron Scheidies.

Almost 1,800 competed in the annual event in honor of SeaFair.
