Mercer Island second at first league meet | Boys prep golf

In the first league match of the season, the Mercer Island boys golf team traveled to play Mount Si and Liberty at Maplewood Golf Course, the Patriots home course.

The Islanders finished second in team scores, with Mount Si earned 208 strokes, and Mercer Island with 212. Liberty had a final total of 226 strokes.

Individually, Mount Si’s Tanner Simpson finished in the top spot shooting 39 on a course with a par 36. Marcus Deitchman, Zach Evens and Will Medlock all tied for second with a 40, while Jake Archambau finished in fifth for the Wildcats with a 41.
