Mercer Island wins league meet | Prep boys golf

The Mercer Island boys golf team earned a KingCo win on Monday afternoon, beating Lake Washington, Liberty and Juanita at Wayne Golf Course.

The Islanders finished with a team score of 192, while Lake Washington finished second with a 202 team score. Liberty was third with 207 and Juanita finished fourth with a 245.

Individually, Mercer Island captain Eric Kim was first with a 36, two over course par, while co-captain Josh Graham was third with a 38. Will Medluck and Braden Williams tied for fourth place, shooting a 39.

The Islanders will host Bellevue, Sammamish and Liberty on Thursday at Twin Rivers Golf Course in another KingCo match. Play is scheduled to begin at 3:50 p.m.
