Mercer Island girls lacrosse fall ball begins soon | Sports brief

The Mercer Island girls lacrosse fall ball program for middle school and elementary students will be starting in mid-September.
This year girls in grades 5 through 8 will play every Friday evening from Sept. 14 through Oct. 26 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Islander Middle School. The team is coached by MIHS varsity girls head coach Liz Sheilds, and other middle school coaches. Returning players can take part for $100, with a U.S. Lacrosse membership, and new players can join for $75 plus the $25 U.S. Lacrosse membership.

For girls in first through fourth grade, they play Sundays from Sept. 16 through Oct. 28 from 3 to 4 p.m. at West Mercer Elementary. The girls will also be coached by Shields.
For returning players the cost is $75 with the U.S. Lacrosse membership and new players it's $50 plus the membership.
