Mercer Island wins two in two days | Prep volleyball results

The Mercer Island girls volleyball team picked up back to back wins Wednesday and Thursday this week.

The Islanders traveled to Garfield on Wednesday, Sept. 12 for a nonleague match up, beating the Bulldogs 3-0.

The Islanders won the games 25-12, 25-23 and 25-18 against their 4A opponent.

During the win Kris Brackmann had six kills, while Sara Lindquist added 10. Carly Wilson posted 20 assists for the team, while Jemma Yeadon had eight kills and 10 digs for the Islanders.

The next day the team hosted Interlake in a Kingco match. The Islanders won 3-0 in 25-16, 25-10 and 25-15 games.

Lindquist posted 15 kills during the games, while Wilson added 27 assists. Lorial Yeadon had 20 digs, Carolyn Fordyce had five kills and 14 digs, Kayla Miller added 10 assists and Margo Parker had three blocks.

The team will travel to Juanita on Tuesday, Sept. 18 for a 7 p.m. game.
