Mercer Island blanks Interlake | Prep boys tennis

The Mercer Island boys tennis team defeated Interlake on Thursday, Sept. 20, sweeping the Saints.

In the singles competition Brian Hou beat Luat Le 6-2, 6-3, while Zack Elliott beat Eddie Locke 6-1, 6-1. Charlie Williams beat Kevin Liu 6-1, 6-3 and  Josh Hartmann beat Ben Vernhes 6-0, 6-3.

In the doubles events, Henry Smith and Ben Elliott beat Eric Radoi and Joe Motto 6-1, 3-6, 6-2, and Kyle Baska and Matt Seifert beat Billy Hao and Josh Higa 6-0, 6-0. The team of Max Tilden and Spencer Dillon beat Tu Pham and Nikhil Grover 6-1, 6-0.

The Islanders will travel to Juanita on Monday, Sept. 24 for a KingCo conference meet.
