Mercer Island beats rival Mount Si in five | Prep volleyball

The Mercer Island volleyball team beat KingCo rival Mount Si on Monday night in five games. The Islanders won 3-2 (23-25, 25-18, 25-18, 15-25, 15-12) to advance to a 6-0 league and 8-0 undefeated record.
Against the Wildcats, Sara Lindquist had 15 kills and three aces, while Jemma Yeadon added 11 kills and four aces. Kris Brackmann had nine kills and nine blocks, with Lottie MacAulay adding 10 kills and four blocks. Brooke Behrbaum posted seven digs during the games, with Lorial Yeadon added 21 digs and Carly Wilson posting 43 assists and three aces for the team.
The Islanders will host Bellevue on Thursday in a 7 p.m. KingCo match.
