Mercer Island downs Sammamish | Prep volleyball

The Mercer Island volleyball continued to set the pace in KingCo, beating Sammamish on Thursday night in a 3-0 rout.

The Islanders won 25-6, 25-8 and 25-16, earning the ninth win of the conference season and 11th overall.

Against the Totems, Kris Brackmann had seven kills, Kelly Logie added 21 assists, Carly Wilson posted seven aces. Jemma Yeadon had 10 kills during the match, while her sister Lorial Yeadon added nine kills.

Mercer Island will travel to Interlake on Tuesday, Oct. 9 for a 7 p.m. game.
