Mercer Island falls to Interlake | Girls prep soccer

The last time Interlake and Mercer Island met, back on Sept. 18 the Saints held the Islanders to their only draw of the season. On Thursday, Oct. 11 the Saints upped the match, beating the Islanders 1-0 and handing Mercer Island it’s first league loss of the season.

After battled through a tough first half, Interlake’s Camille Sullivan hit the mark in the 65th minute, assisted by Emma Bergstrom to score the games only goal. Interlake goalie Catie Cetzendaner earned the shutout for the Saints.

The Islanders are now 9-1-1 this season and 11-1-1 overall.

Mercer Island will host Juanita on Tuesday, Oct. 16 in a 7:30 p.m. game.
