Mercer Island downs Liberty to remain unbeaten | Prep volleyball

The Mercer Island volleyball team extended their perfect record another game on Tuesday, Oct. 16, beating Liberty in three games.

The Islanders are 11-0 in league and 14-0 overall.

Against the Patriots, in the Islanders final home game of the season, Mercer Island won 25-8, 25-12, 25-13.

Brooke Behrbaum had five kills, Kris Brackmann posted five kills and two blocks, Sara Lindquist added 11 kills during the games and Kelly Logie had 12 assists. Lottie MacAulay had seven kills and three blocks, Carly Wilson added 21 assists, Jemma Yeadon had eight kills and Lorial Yeadon posted 10 digs and four aces.

The Islanders will travel to Mount Si on Thursday, Oct. 18 for a showdown against the No. 2 team in KingCo. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. A fan bus will leave from Mercer Island High School at 6 p.m. that night. A ticket is required to attend.
