Mercer Island beats Bellevue, prepares for KingCo title game | Prep volleyball

The Mercer Island volleyball team will get a final go at Mount Si on Saturday, Oct. 27 in the KingCo tournament championship game. The Islanders beat Bellevue on Thursday, Oct. 25 3-0 to advance to the title match, which will be against the Wildcats.
Against Bellevue on Thursday, Mercer Island won in 25-3, 25-13 and 25-7 games.
Individually, Kris Brackmann had six kills and two blocks, while Sara Lindquist added seven kills and three aces. Kelly Logie posted 27 assists and seven aces in three games, while Lottie MacAulay had seven kills and four blocks. Jemma Yeadon had seven kills while sister Lorial Yeadon had 12 digs.
Mercer Island will play for the KingCo tournament title on Saturday against Mount Si at 5:30 p.m. at Sammamish High School. The match will also determine seeding for next week’s SeaKing District tournament, which begins Nov. 1.
