The Mercer Island girls soccer team will begin it's quest for the final berth to the 3A state tournament on Tuesday, Oct. 30.

The Islanders will play Bellevue at home on Tuesday in a 7:30 p.m. game. Mercer Island is the No. 2 seed in the KingCo tournament, Bellevue is the No. 5 seed.

A win over the Wolverines would put the Islanders into the championship game on Thursday, Nov. 1 against the winner of the Mount Si versus Interlake match that takes place on Tuesday as well.

If Mercer Island can win the Kingco tournament, the team will play a Metro opponent on Saturday, Nov. 3 and would need a win to earn the final spot in the state tournament from District 2.

Liberty, KingCo's No. 1 team, has already secured a state berth.
